The names of the parents of Charles Choice are not known. His date and place of birth are not known. Charles married Amelia, whose surname is unknown, about 1888.

Most of this family tree has been constructed from records taken from the indexes at St.Catherine's House, London; Leicester Parish Registers; and from baptismal records of St. Margaret's Church, Leicester, England. Although the statistics I'm using are official, the relationships which I have made are not and will have to be proved by a family genealogist.

Amelia and Charles Choice had four children, all born at Leicester, according to Parish Registers: John,in 1889; Louisa, 1894; Annie, 1895; and Frederick Choice, in 1897. They were baptized in St. Margaret's Church. This Choice family lived at "2 Court H Sanvey Gate,Parish of Leicester." Charles Choice was a "labourer".

Amelia is probably the Amelia Choice who died in 1905, at Leicester at the age of 43 years. There is also a record of death for a Charles Choice at Leicester in 1937 at the age of 78, which would put his date of birth about 1859. Was this Amelia's husband? Or, was that 1937 death record for Charles Choice, son of JOSEPH CHOICE, WEAVER, OF LUTTERWORTH? Or, is Charles who married Amelia, the same Charles who was the son of Joseph Choice of Lutterworth? The marriage certificate for Charles and Amelia may answer the question. Does Charles belong to another Choice family?

Charles named his youngest son, Frederick. Consideration might be given to the possibility that Charles was related to the family of JOSEPH CHOICE, OF MANCETTER. Joseph's family featured boys named both Charles and Frederick.

ADA (CAMPODONICE), JOHN CHOICE, AND WALTER HEALEY, OF LEICESTER

John Choice, son of Amelia and Charles Choice, was born 28 Mar 1889, at Leicester. John was baptized 5 Nov 1894, at St. Margaret's church. I am speculating that John Choice married Ada Campodonice in 1915, and that they had a son, John Choice, born in 1916 at Leicester. John the father evidently died, because Ada appears to have married Walter Healey, in 1923, at Leicester.

LOUISA (CHOICE) AND WILLIAM H. GIBBINS, OF LEICESTER

Louisa Choice, daughter of Amelia and Charles Choice, was born 19 Sep 1894, at Leicester. She was baptized 5 Nov 1894, at St. Margaret's Church, Leicester. Louisa Choice appears to have married William H. Gibbins in 1939, at Leicester.

ANNIE (CHOICE) AND LUKE WELLS, OF LEICESTER

Annie Choice, daughter of Amelia and Charles Choice, was born 14 Oct 1895, at Leicester. She was baptized 30 Dec 1895, at St. Margaret's Church. Annie Choice appears to have married Luke Wells in 1918, at Leicester.

(PRUDENCE W.?) FLORENCE (TURNER) AND FREDERICK CHOICE, OF LEICESTER

Frederick Choice, son of Amelia and Charles Choice, was born 19 Jan 1897, at Leicester, and was baptized 15 Mar 1897, at St. Margaret's Church.

Family members say Frederick married Florence Turner.

However, St.Catherine's House index shows a marriage for Frederick Choice to Prudence W. Turner at Leicester in 1923. Perhaps Prudence preferred the name Florence.

Florence (Turner) and Frederick Choice had three children, all born at Leicester: Dennis Choice, born in 1924; Frederick W. Choice, born and died in 1925; and Doreen Choice, born in 1927.

Frederick Choice died in 1965 at Leicester, at the age of 68 years.

CHRISTINA "CHRIS" (MULQUEENEY) HOLCROFT, THEATRE NURSE, AND DENNIS CHOICE, LABOURER, OF LEICESTER

Dennis Choice, son of Florence (Turner) and Frederick Choice, was born 18 Jan 1924 at Leicester. Dennis married Christina "Chris" (Mulqueeney) Holcroft, 20 Sep 1958, at Leicester. Their childless marriage was of short duration and ended in divorce. Dennis presently makes his home with his mother at Leicester.

Chris has been my only correspondent for this family. Most of the Choice information she has supplied here, was given to her by her former mother in law, Florence (Turner) Choice.

DOREEN (CHOICE) AND LELDON G. WRIGHT, AMERICAN SERVICEMAN, OF LEICESTER AND AMERICA

Doreen Choice, daughter of Florence (Turner) and Frederick Choice, was born in 1927, at Leicester. Doreen appears to have married Leldon G. Wright in 1944, at Leicester.

Christina told me that Doreen's husband was an American serviceman and that they had one daughter who married and has a son whose first name is Scott. Doreen and Leldon have since divorced. No information is available concerning her Wright family.
